Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Hussein
On February 15, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, Fuad Hussein, within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq and regional issues were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that high-level mutual visits and intensive political dialogue between our countries have made a significant contribution to the positive progress of cooperation in political, economic, trade, energy, education, culture and other areas.
The parties also discussed the current situation in the Middle East.
The importance of establishing peace and stability in the region was once again emphasized.
It was emphasized that the relations between Azerbaijan and Iraq, based on historical friendship and solidarity, are also reflected in international platforms.
Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein expressed his satisfaction with the meeting held by him during his visit to our country and the discussions on the development of our relations, he noted that his country is interested in further developing relations with Azerbaijan and that there are good opportunities to expand bilateral cooperation.
The meeting also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
